| The Ogun State Commissioner for Community Development and Cooperatives, Chief Samuel Aiyedogbon has appealed to members of Community Development Associations to make contributions to government’s industrialization drive.
Chief Aiyedogbon who made the appeal during a chat with newsmen in his office at Oke-Mosan Abeokuta noted that the just concluded investors’ forum would bring steady development that could create job opportunities for the youth and attract social amenities to the various communities in the State.
According to him, the Ministry had been engaging in peace building and conflict resolution among would-be investors and the communities, saying this would create a peaceful co-existence between members of the host communities and would - be investors.
Chief Aiyedogbon added that his ministry had also helped in promoting peace and tranquility between Dangote Cement and its host Community; urging Community Development Associations to complement government’s effort in achieving continued development in the State.
He explained that the State government realised the importance and potentials of CDAs, promising that government would further support them through financial assistance and capacity building.
Also speaking, the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry, Mrs. Yemi Olanrewaju stated that the just concluded Investor’s forum would be an eye opener for members of the communities to position themselves for the development that would take place in their various communities taking into consideration the enormous resources abound in the State.
